After numerous impressive performances for the Gulls this season (including twice nearly scoring spectatular goals from inside his own half), midfield player Nicky Wroe was selected to play for the England C team in a friendly match against the Malta under-21 side.

England won the match 4-0, and not only did Nicky play the entire 90 minutes, but he was also appointed captain of the side for the second half.

Congratulations to Nicky, who was the second Gulls player to appear in the England C team following Kevin Nicholson's appearances last season. It is testament to the players at Plainmoor that they are receiving national, and international, recognition.
